Stanford reservoir; a Greenshank and 2 Green Sandpiper were on the field pool near the inlet. At the dam end 2 further Green Sandpiper were roosting on the spillway overflow wall, while a Common Sandpiper was feeding in the spillway. The number of duck have increase, including Shoveler to 11, Pochard to 6 and Tufted Duck too. These may not be large numbers, but are a sure sign of the autumn season getting closer.
