Headed off to Norfolk this morning for the weekend.
Warham Slade Marsh; this is the relatively new pools and marsh area just east of Wells-next-the-Sea. Waders included Wood Sandpiper 5+, many Green and Common Sandpiper, Ruff 2, Snipe 2, 12 Little Egret, plus many of the other expected species.
Cley-next-the-Sea; mid-afternoon I did some sea watching from the shelter, passage was very quite, although some good birds had been reported earlier in the day. There was clearly some good fishing close inshore as 60+ Sandwich Tern were frantically catching food and heading off to their Blakeney point colony.
