9th Aug - moderate, sometimes gusty SSW, showers early and late, humid, 24C

Croft hill; I had a look here this afternoon despite the wind as the are some sheltered areas, even so not too much was showing.  A Kestrel and Sparrowhawk were seen hunting.  One sheltered area was holding birds that included 2 Spotted Flycatchers, a Goldcrest, Nuthatch, Chaffinch and Goldfinch.

I did spot this Cinnabar moth caterpillar.
