Cotesbach landfill; a look in the evening produced a couple of surprises. There were 4 juv Little Grebes with 2 adults and also a female Tufted Duck with a single duckling. I have not seen hardly any young Tufted Ducks this year.
A considerable number of Grey Lag and Canada Geese were present, 92 and 41 respectively, these have been feeding on a nearby field. Only one Red Kite this evening.
Stanford Reservoir; a look here next, very quite, but 2 Wigeon were new in. 3 Common Terns, 2 adults and a Juv. A Kestrel, Green Woodpecker near the dam.
