2nd Oct - ground frost, chilly start, mostly sunny, light-mod NW, 13C

Willey; 9 Swallows on wires this morning and Chiffchaff singing.

Cotesbach Landfill; mid afternoon, a Green Sandpiper feeding, 9 Shoveler, quite a few Teal, 7 Red Kites, 6 Buzzards and a Sparrowhawk over head.  Plenty of Gulls, so off to the Lagoons to see if I can read a few colour rings.

Shawell Lagoons; juvenile Ruff still present and busy feeding as usual.  78 Lapwing resting on the mud.

Several Gull colour rings read, Carl dropped in too, these are the colour rings that we found while I was there.
