4th Oct - mod high cloud, light WSW, 15, little drizzle late afternoon.

Willey; Swallows around the village today, maximum seen was 22.  A flock of c60 Redwings flew out of trees (0830h) on old railway track and headed off SW.  Chiffchaff singing in Parsons Close.  New visitors to my feed station today included Coal Tit and Chaffinch - I think the word is out now.

Shawell Lagoons; a look here this afternoon.  The juv Ruff still, c100 Greylags and 61 Lapwings.  The Gulls were continual being disturbed and flying off, a Grey Heron flew in and scattered them.  I did manage to read only 3 colour rings.

LBBGs J873L and J722A black rings with white letters.  Also, the Herring Gull 0742 I saw a couple of days ago.

Three Common Gulls were in too, often hassling the Black-headed Gulls if they had food item. Two adult Yellow-legged Gulls were present too, looking very smart.
