6th Oct - cloudy, sunny spells later, mod-breezy NW, 16C

Willey;  small parties of Redwing passing over first thing this morning.  Three Swallows over the village still.
On the feed station plenty of visitors as previously noted, surprisingly a single Tree Sparrow, these don't usually come until later.
Croft Hill; a look here, unfortunately, did not produce much, only one flock of Redwings heading south.  A Raven over calling.  A couple of Coal Tits feeding in the scrubby area.

Bittesby mere lane lake area; a couple of Little Grebes on the lake and a Kestrel being hassled by a Carrion Crow.  Chiffchaff in thicket near the lane.

Stanford reservoir; a quick look after lunch around the dam area.  A Red Kite flew over.  Noticeable that duck Tufted Duck numbers have increased to over 100, also 25 Pochard present, 5 Shoveler and 4 Gadwall.
Great-spotted Woodpecker and Chiffchaff in water side trees.

Shawell Lagoons; juv Ruff still present along with the Lapwing flock. Only a few Gulls today, an adult Yellow-legged Gull flew in and started preening.
