Cotesbach landfill; Usual birds this morning, including three Common Sandpiper.
Claybrooke Parva; at last the Spotted Flycatchers here have raised a brood of two fledglings which they are busy feeding. Nuthatch, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Greenfinch in the area too.
Croft Hill, very quiet this afternoon, a Kestrel and Sparrowhawk showed, with a few House Martins overhead. Migrants were very noticeable by their absence.
However, it was nice to see several greasy Small Copper butterflies on the wing.
Stanford Reservoir; this evening five Common Sandpipers and two Yellow Wagtails on the dam. 14 Grey Wagtails were feeding in the spillway. An adult and juvenile Common Tern were around, often settling on the dam.
A Green Sandpiper and Little Egret were at the inlet end.
