Draycote reservoir; having bought a permit, but not having used it since before the March 'lockdown' I thought a visit this afternoon would be worth it. Most notable were three European Shags which have been present a few days since the previous strong winds. A Common Sandpiper, 14 Little Egrets, a Green Woodpecker, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, plus the usual Ducks, Little and Great-crested Grebes.
A good number of House Martins, many seemingly attending nests on the Boat House still.
Cotesbach Landfill; new today was a juvenile Ringed Plover, we don't get many autumn Ringed Plover visit here. Green and Common Sandpiper also present
