6th Aug - mostly cloudy, light S, 23C

Today I decided to go on a 'twitch' to see the Bearded Vulture that has been present in the UK Peak District for awhile.  It is an immature female from Europe which has been moving around Europe and eventually crossed the English Channel.

I had good views of it in flight, eventually it moved off over the moorland.  Unfortunately I was not in a good position for photographs to be taken.

This is the valley where it has been often roosting over the recent days.

Shawell lagoons; this evening very quite until c30 Lesser-black Backed Gulls came in including a adult Yellow-legged Gull.

Cotesbach landfill; Green Sandpiper again, plus all the regulars.
