Willey; a Sparrowhawk flew through the church yard Kate afternoon.
Stanford reservoir; a evening walk in the sunshine was very pleasant. An Osprey was just leaving with a fish in its talons. The Lapwing numbers are slowing increasing now and we approach post-breeding season. Two Oystercatchers and a Little-ringed Plover were present. The ducks are starting their annual moult now, some looking a bit scruffy. The usual Warblers were present, singing or giving alarm if too close to their nest area.
I spotted a caterpillar on the path, not sure what species yet, after checking it seems to be the Drinker moth. Also, a Ringlet - male- butterfly and a Black-tailed Skimmer were seen.
