7th June - sunny spells, clouding over by evening and light rain, light- mod, sometimes fresh westerly, 16C

Willey;  this morning first thing a couple of Ravens to the west over the sheep fields. A cock Pheasant. Strutted across the back field near the houses and later the Goldcrest was again heard singing in the church Yew tree.

Stanford reservoir; I made a visit this evening, plenty of hirundines and Swifts again over the reservoir and immediate area.  On the water a couple of Teal and 4 Shoveler, plus the usual duck.  A couple of Little Egret along the waters edge, a single Oystercatcher.  No Little-ringed Plover or chicks seen this evening, an Oystercatcher was feeding on the shore.

Usual warblers were singing, a recently fledged Great and Blue Tit families, a single Treecreeper along the by-pass path.
