1st Sept - sunny spells, light-mod W breeze, 18C

Willey; first thing 2 Mistle Thrush were feeding on Elder berries on a field hedge, mid- morning 3 were back in the church Yew tree.  A Cormorant flew over SW.
Several Swallows around the fields and village still feeding, at least 10, maybe I will see more this evening at their pre-roost flight over the village. About 1110h a small flock of House Martins came over the village feeding.

Stanford reservoir; a late evening check of the dam area, 5 Common Sandpipers,  3 Grey Wagtails, 4 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall and 50 Mute Swans counted.
