9th Sep - light rain am, cloudy drizzle then turniong brighter pm, 15C, light SE

Willey; this morning Swallows were still around the fields, the maximum that I saw together was 25.

Stanford reservoir; a look after lunch. On the spillway and dam 15+ Pied and 9 Grey Wagtails, and a Common Sandpiper.  At the feed station a Coal Tit was among the Blue Tits, these are not seen too often here these days.  A Little Grebe near the dam, however duck numbers were disappointing - only 4 Shoveler and 1 Gadwall of note.  Over the reservoir there was a good number of House Martins (c200), Sand martins and Swallows feeding.  A Raven flew nearby calling and a Little Egret flew off from near the hide.

In Blowers Lodge Bay a Hobby was hunting dragonfly, looked like a juvenile, I managed some record photos.
