Brandon Marsh; I visited here this afternoon hoping for migrants and Butterflies.  Butterflies were Peacock, Orange-tip, Small Tortoiseshell, Dingy Skipper and Small Heath.

Several Whitethroats, Garden Warblers and other Warblers were seen, including a singing Lesser Whitethroat.  A Goldcrest was heard singing too.  Two Hobby were hawking and a Cuckoo called which appeared in a mid-distant tree later.

On east marsh birds included 5 Little Egret, 6 Little-ringed Plovers, a Ringed Plover, Lapwings and 2 Oystercatcher.  A single Redshank was on Teal pool.  A single drake Shoveler was of note.  Numerous Common Tern, now nesting.

2 Green Woodpecker, Goldfinch and Bullfinch and a Long-tailed tit family.  In all a mood selection of birds were seen.
