Birchmoor; visited an area of farmland here this evening where Quail have been singing, at least 2. I only heard one at any time but may have been different birds, as they move around a lot can’t be sure. Although very close once in the oilseed rape crop, it never showed on the track or flew.
The area also contained breeding Lapwing, maybe 3 pairs, Linnet, Goldfinch and Whitethroat.
