7th May - sunny spells am, clouding over, 14C, light southerly

Willey; both Lesser Whitethroats  near the village were singing this morning. 5 Mistle Thrushes feeding on the sheep pasture to the west.

Stanford reservoir; There was a large passage of Black Terns through the Midlands today, so expectations were high for at least one here.  About 1600h 12 dropped in and stayed until the evening.  A day of movement as 2 Dunlin also arrived this morning and were still present this evening.  About 10 Common Terns, 2 Hobby and Yellow Wagtail too.
