4th May - sunny spells am, northerly mod becoming stronger, sharp showers pm, 12C, feeling cool.

Misterton;  a look here this  morning, although the wind was keeping much hidden. Treecreeper, Nuthatch and other usual passerines in the wood, a Grey Heron at the lake.

Cotesbach landfill; a look here after lunch, some Gulls, but only the regular species.  3 Red Kites were feeding.  Due to the wind a number of House and Sand Martins and Swallows were feeding in the shelter of the sandpit.

Stanford reservoir; a look here next particularly hoping the weather may bring in some scarce Terns. There was 12 Common. Terns feeding over the water, I noticed another Tern drop in from high and this was an Arctic Tern, nice to see one here.  Although last year we had an unprecedented fall of over 100 - which was a great sight.

3 Yellow Wagtails on the dam, some Warbler song but the wind and cool was keeping them well hidden. We seem to have a good number of Garden Warblers now.
