1st May - sunny spells, becoming hazy, then shower late afternoon, 17C, light westerly

Willey; Lesser Spotted Woodpecker drumming again, same location (1030h).

Brandon Marsh; visited here after lunch, especially to see a drake Garganey that had dropped in, good views had.  A small number of Teal, Shoveler and Gadwall.  Waders included Redshank, Little Ringed Plover, a single Ringed Plover, Lapwings. Warblers included Reed, Sedge, Garden, Cetti’s, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Whitethroat.  A Grey Heron, several Common Terns,  Stock Doves and Sand Martins.
